DevOps Engineer
Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in collaborating with development, testing, and operations teams to enhance and maintain our system and its components. This position involves working within both cloud and traditional infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams, as well as other DevOps engineers, to set up and maintain the system, application, and all related components in both cloud and traditional infrastructure environments.
  • Provide technical support to Application Development teams to facilitate the consumption of Cloud services while ensuring adherence to CI/CD pipeline patterns and standards.
  • Work with infrastructure and system operations teams to automate end-to-end operations of applications and systems in AWS Cloud.
  • Design, build, maintain, document, and automate technical processes and operations using AWS cloud services.
  • Build tools and automation for configuring, deploying, and maintaining our cloud technologies in AWS Cloud.
  • Utilize various tools to implement and deploy CI/CD solutions in AWS Cloud, including but not limited to Ansible, EC2, ELB, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and S3.
  • Ensure consistent application of current application development methodologies.
  • Develop and monitor configuration standards, ensuring SLAs and other performance metrics are met through monitoring and alerting for cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Provide automated and integrated systems and applications across a variety of platforms.
  • Offer technical expertise for high-impact IT decisions, translating complex technical concepts into requirements and solutions.
  • Assist with integration testing and acceptance testing in collaboration with business teams.
  • Participate in technical reviews during various software and application development stages.
  • Adhere to security, change control, and policies, processes, and methodologies.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, or supporting IT platforms, applications, or solutions.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps processes in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
  • 5+ years of experience with automated configuration and deployment using tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or similar IAC frameworks.
  • 4+ years of experience in CI/CD, Automation, and Orchestration.
  • 4+ years of experience with infrastructure design and deployment in Amazon Cloud (AWS).
  • 2+ years of experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, and Scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud computing platform and its services.
  • Experience with app and web server configuration and maintenance.

   Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with complex applications for health exchange systems, eligibility systems, or equivalent.
  • Software development experience with Cloud deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services like CloudFormation, IAM Policies, EC2, Lambda, S3, Glacier, VPC, and others.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, NGINX, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IDP, IAM, Ruby, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with Microservice and SOA architectures.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices and project management processes.
