Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Architect to lead our network architecture and engineering efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize network solutions that are aligned with business goals and compliant with industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies and a focus on network-centric solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Network Planning: Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for network architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
  • High-Level Design: Create high-level design documents and network diagrams using tools like Visio.
  • Cloud Architecture: Specialize in AWS cloud architecture, focusing on network-oriented solutions such as VPC, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
  • AWS Security: Implement and manage AWS security services like IAM, Security Groups, and encryption to ensure robust network security.
  • EKS Management: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
  • Network Optimization: Conduct network assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement network disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select network hardware and software vendors, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure that all network activities are compliant with industry standards such as NIST.
  • Capacity Planning: Proactively manage and plan network capacity, considering both current and future needs.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex network issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate network strategies and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture and engineering.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
