Description

As a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert/Coordinator, your primary objective is to bolster cybersecurity resilience across diverse local entities. Your responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of duties aimed at assessing, improving, and ensuring the robustness of cybersecurity infrastructures.

Responsibilities

Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of networks, cybersecurity frameworks, tools, policies, and strategic plans.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and inadequacies in current security protocols.
  • Analyze risk factors and prioritize enhancements for cybersecurity measures.

Remediation and Enhancement:

  • Work collaboratively with key partners to address vulnerabilities and enhance cybersecurity defenses.
  • Develop, refine, and implement cybersecurity policies, best practices, and strategic plans.
  • Recommend tailored security solutions to meet the unique needs of each entity.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Deliver training sessions on key cybersecurity topics.
  • Promote the exchange of knowledge and skills enhancement within organizations.

Reporting and Risk Assessment:

  • Generate comprehensive reports for organizational leaders, detailing assessments, identified risks, and suggested mitigative actions, including prioritization of recommendations.
  • Transform technical evaluations into clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Guide on the best courses of action to mitigate risks effectively.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key partners and entities.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between technical teams and organizational leaders.
  • Ensure that technical strategies are in alignment with overarching organizational objectives.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Significant, relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement).

General Experience:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to top-level executives.
  • Strong communication abilities to interact with a wide range of individuals and effectively convey findings.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Specialized Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in roles such as Cyber Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Manager, Cyber Analyst, or a similar position within the cybersecurity sector.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies and tools.
  • Experience conducting security maturity assessments in alignment with recognized standards such as NIST.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or a closely related field.
  • Professional certifications in cybersecurity are highly desirable.
